Israeli forces claim 4th Hezbollah tunnel unearthed along Lebanese border (video)
A fourth tunnel allegedly built by Hezbollah to infiltrate Israel was uncovered along the Lebanese border, the Israeli Defence Force announced on Sunday.
It is the fourth such tunnel found this month as part of the army's 'Operation Northern Shield.'
Works to render the tunnel obsolete are already underway, as seen in footage filmed on Friday and Saturday.
"Imagine terrorists digging an attack tunnel like this towards your home. Hacking away inch by inch underground in order to kill you & your family. Israelis don't need to imagine. It's our job to protect them," the IDF said in a tweet.
Additional United Nations peacekeepers have been stationed on the Israel-Lebanon border in order to prevent tensions from flaring between the two nations.
