I Almost Didn't Write This

A blank page is a strange thing.

It sits there quietly, asking questions you don't always have answers to.

Who are you?

Why should anyone listen?

What makes your story different from the millions already being told?

For a while, I didn't have good answers.

But I've come to realize that most people aren't remembered because they had perfect answers. They're remembered because they started talking before they felt ready.

So here I am.

My name is Ayobami, my username is @ayobamiayodeji and this is my first step into the Steemit community.

I'm fascinated by stories, the ones we tell, the ones we hide, and the ones we discover about ourselves when life doesn't go according to plan.

Some days I'll write about ambition. Other days I'll write about people, observations, lessons, failures, strange thoughts that arrive at 2 a.m., and the little moments.

I don't claim to know everything.

I'm simply someone trying to pay closer attention to the world and make sense of it through words.

Before I forget, I am graduate of microbiology from the University of Ilorin. I am currently a remote customer support personnel for an e-commerce company. I hope to enjoy here as much as I do life.

If you've ever felt lost, curious, hopeful, confused, determined, or caught somewhere between who you are and who you're becoming, then we'll probably get along just fine.
