I felt the same way and unfortunately this happens with a lot of series. I'm not sure exactly why this happens to so many series but i suspect it is because the studios are not certain that something is going to be popular and therefore they don't actually have a story beyond the first season and rush to push out another one even though they don't have a story... therefore they have to use a bunch of filler in order to get the requisite amount of episodes. I'd rather the seasons be shorter and entertaining and since they all drop at the same time I don't know why they feel compelled to drag it out.
