Ah - the "wrap + turn". I use "German short rows" (simply called "verkürzte Reihen" in German). Though with garter stitch the method probably doesn't matter, the up + down of the rows hides any trace of them :)

I will look this up in my German knitting book. Is it easier than wrap + turn?
In my opinion - yes. But it's the way I learnt to do them first so I'm partial ;)
