Will NEAR Foundation become the same as Terra?

This afternoon, I read an article at mexc talking about NEAR Foundation allocating $40 million usd as collateral. They are trying to wind down their stable coin and maintain it a a 1:1 ratio with USD in hopes for stability and not total collapse.

They released a statement on Twitter saying that they are still doing strong and believe transparency is the key. The question is, are they gonna end up like Luna and Terra? Will history repeat again? At the moment I noticed that their governance token is still going good and people seem to be not affected by the news. Strange indeed.
