5 Nazi criminals who fled to Latin America
After the fall of the Third Reich and the defeat of Nazi Germany before the allies, a significant number of the Nazi hierarchs fled before confronting the international courts of justice. Sadly known as "Doctor Death," Aribert Heim was an Austrian doctor who experimented with terrible ways to assassinate Jews in concentration camps. In his stories are mentioned terrible instances in which Heim injected gasoline or poisons

At the end of the war he was imprisoned, then released and before facing more accusations, he fled the world. It is believed that his final destination was San Carlos de Bariloche, in Argentina and, it is not known if he still lives or has already died.

SS Lieutenant, Adolf Eichmann, was one of those in charge of carrying out called «Final Solution», that is, the extermination or sending to concentration camps of Jews, specifically in Poland.
After the war, Eichmann went underground in Europe and in 1950 traveled to Argentina, where he lived under the name of Otto Eckmann. Unlike other Nazi criminals, Eichmann was identified and the Israeli Mossad kidnapped him and took him to Israel where he was tried and then executed.

This sadistic doctor, who made brutal experiments with the prisoners in the concentration camps, especially in twins (he was obsessed with them and the idea of creating a "perfect race"), also fled to Latin America. Josef Mengele escaped to Argentina first and unpunished, lived without changing his name or surname. In 1960 he moved to Paraguay.
There is enough data to suppose that he frequently visited the town of Candido Godói, in Brazil, where he would have practiced as a doctor. The most surprising fact is that even today, this Brazilian people have a very high rate of births of twins: in 1 out of 10 births twins are born.
This figure is much higher than the world average, so it is believed that Mengele continued his experiments there.
