Although from reading your post you seemed to be pretty sure you had the right kind, and its not the easiest shroom to pick the wrong type of either. Stay safe mate :)
it is one of the 4 that are fairly safe for educated beginners, I have picked these for the last 3 years from the same area so I was pretty certain but I would be lying if there was not a little excitement when taking the first bite.
