ABQ Biopark- Railroad Garden

If you are only remotely in to model trains, or even the least bit fascinated my the whimsy found in the miniature, you have got to check out the amazing Railroad Gardens at the New Mexico Biopark Botanical Gardens.

The Railroad Gardens features G Scale model trains that maneuver atop 400 plus feet of track. The track moves through lovely gardens, maintained to give the impression of a small village. This diminutive town features buildings and even small people and animals.

The train even runs over a small bridged stream. And for the very little kids, there are Thomas the Train sets that they can make move with the press of a button.

The Railroad Gardens have always been a fascinating, beautiful spot to pass the afternoon. I've always loved these gorgeous mosaic tiled benches and water fountains.
