THE BABY TOADS HAVE ARRIVED
Here they come!
Is there anything in the world as cute as a baby toad? Sure puppies and small children have their own cuteness about them, but baby toads may be the leader of the pack. This one is actually quite a bit bigger than they start out, but it still counts as a baby in our book and it's as cute as anything... maybe even cuter.
While the chickens and guineas may have their own ideas about toads this small, we like to see them in the garden doing their bug-munching thing. No baby toads were harmed in the making of the photographs.

We're starting to see the little toadlings hoping in our garden as well! We built a pond to collect water for the food forest we're developing. Its been such a good experience for my sons to see how they morph from tadpole to toad, and we're pretty sure we're now up to three species of amphibian in our yard.

I have to ask, how did you get that close to it? :D If I try to get close to any of our frogs they jump into the center of our pond where I can't reach them. :D What's your secret? :D

YAY! My favorite, baby toads! I haven't seen the tiny little baby ones since I lived in Florida HA HA. I remember seeing tons of them all condensed into one small area hopping around.

What water source do you have for them?
Awww! We have those down the coast from Unalakleet, people talk about bringing them here and throwing them in our ponds. lol transplanting toads in the village...
