Spring snowflake are blooming
In the forest in the wetlands mostly, and by the rivers in woods in Slovenia, blooms the spring snowflake (Leucojum aestivum), which flourishes from February to April.
The green stem develops from three to seven climatic flowers that open one after another, the flowers have the shape of a crown, and on the white petals there are green spots on the ends.
In Slovenia, they are often found in forests during this time of year.
They are protected and belong to the list of endangered plants.
