Transparent honey - help us to raise funding to make 1,000 hives to save Abongphen Highland Forest in Cameroon.
Transparent honey? Each newly constructed hive would have ID and its investor (some of you guys). The ID and your name would be burned into the front side of the hive. We will publish pictures of the five its GPS coordinates as well as the position on the map. You would know almost everything about the hive and bees inside. Name and story of the person who takes care of the hive, who harvest and process honey, wax, and propolis. We will also publish detail information about the stage of hives. When and how much honey was harvested and how much profit is going to local farmers as well as to cooperative which we are going to establish next month. Honey would be processed and pack from each hive separately.Eticket with all above-mentioned information would on the package. All information will be online too. All bee's products will be sold in Cameroon. If you want to taste our honey you have to come to visit us to Cameroon. We want to support the local market and mainly the forest conservation.
Let's make together 1,000 hives to support conservation of 800 hectares of water catchment areas, which were complitelly covered by forest in the past. Now there is not up to one quater of forest remaining and the area is rapidly getting dry.
Nature conservation as profitable business.
12$ = 1 bee hive = 100 sq m of the mountain forest saved and restored = up to 100$ per year for the local farmer

Such projects should be not only in Cameroon, but also in other countries in which beekeeping is developed. International organizations should be involved in this problem. Preservation of the forest, bees is necessary in every country - we live on one planet and breathe one air.
