Highest And Tallest Mountain In The World (Mount Everest May Have Some RIvals)

It depends on how you define highest mountain, they are other mountains that are as tall and high as mount everest.
A definition of highest mountain can come as the mountain with highest altitude, tallest mountain or highest mountain above earth's center.
Mount Everest
Mount Everest has the highest altitude( altitude is measured in feet above sea level). It is 8850m or 29,035 ft high above sea level. Other mountains maybe taller (being taller means " the total vertical distance between the base and summit of the mountain) but none is as high as mount everest measuring above sea level. This makes Mount Everest, "the mountain with the Highest Altitude".
Mauna Kea
Mauna Kea is said to be the tallest mountain in the world. It is 10,000+ meters above the sea floor (height is measured from the base to the summit). It has an altitude of 4,205m i.e 13,796 feet which is lower than that of Mount Everest.
But, Mauna Kea is an island, by measuring the distance from the base of a closeby Pacific Ocean floor to the highest point of the island, it was inferred that Mauna Kea is taller than Mount Everest.
"Height is measured from base to summit" (i.e it is measured from below and above sea level). However, Altitude is measured from above sea level.
This makes Mauna Kea taller than Mount Everest because when measured, Mauna Kea is 6000m and 4000m below and above sea level respectively, meanwhile Mount Everest is 8850 meter tall and Mauna Kea is 10000+ meter tall.
Mount Chimborazo
Mount Chimborazo is located in Ecuador with an altitude of 6,310 meters i.e 20,703 feet. However, it is different from Mount Everest and Mauna Kea because it's said to be the highest mountain above earth center.
