Il martin pescatore, originario dell'Amazzonia, ha una lunghezza tra i 29 ei 30 centimetri e pesa circa 110 grammi. Ha la forma del tipico martin pescatore, con una coda corta e un becco lungo. È verde oliva in cima e testa, con una cresta.
I maschi hanno una parte inferiore bianca, petto marrone rossastro (banda larga) e alcune strisce verdi. Le femmine hanno una parte inferiore bianca con macchie verdi sui lati del seno e strisce verdi. È il più comune qui in Venezuela. ottimi colpi @adrianobalan

I have seen the Kingfisher bird hunting very closely. However, it is now becoming an extinct organism. Like a hunter, Kingfisher's eyes are very sharp. Most of them prey on fishes. They fly over the pond and feed their prey. In a jerk, shrinking the feathers and plunge into the water, comes out with prey. Capturing such a wonderful bird so close to the camera is amazing in itself.
