How are you all? I hope you are all well. I am also doing well. Today I am going to participate in the challenge of playing OpenTTD game by @sergeyk

🚢TASK 1🌊

First, I opened my company's financial window. Since It was told to start the game with 200k dollars, I started from there.

Here I found two cities along the coast. I will transport passengers between these cities.

This time I went to Waterways Construction and selected the dock. Docks will be built on water tiles and land tiles. But you have to be careful about that too.

This time I created two docks for two cities. I named them Dock 1 and Dock 2.When building a dock, you must ensure that it falls within the coverage area. That is, it must fall within the coverage area of the city. If it doesn't fall within the coverage area, nothing will be accepted. For example, here I am showing Accept Passenger. That is, passengers will be loaded from this doc. The dock must be created keeping these in mind.

I have built a depot near the dock. Now I will buy a ship from here.Since I will be transporting passengers here, I bought a passenger ferry.

The picture shows that my ship has started operating and transporting passengers between two cities. And that's where my profit is coming from.

🚢TASK 2🌊

This task was a bit difficult to find resources and that too near a coastal area. I chose oil as a resource. I found many oil fields but I couldn't find an oil refinery. Then I found a place I liked where I could complete this task.The oil field is station 1.

Now I will create a dock. While creating it, I must make sure that the oil refinery falls within the coverage area. Otherwise, nothing will be accepted from this station later. This is Station 2.

Now I will create a truck station by connecting it to station 2. With the truck station selected, I created two joined stations by pressing Ctrl. When I press Ctrl to create a truck station, two options will appear.Click on Join Station and the job will be done.

This time we have built another truck station near the oil refinery and this is Station 3.

This time I built the road from station 2 to 3.

When I select the order for the oil tanker, I transfer it to Station Two because it will not be unloaded here, but rather it will be transferred.

Profit Started

The image above shows oil coming from the oil field by ship and being transferred to Station 2. From there, trucks will arrive to receive the transferred oil and it will go to Station 3 and be unloaded. Then profit will come from there.

🚢TASK 3🌊

Build Buoys

I have built two docks in two different cities.

This time I created a very long and curved shape for the ship by build buoys.

I bought a ship and selected the order for that ship. Here I selected a total of 26 orders. That is, I have selected orders on each buoy and first placed a dock and at the end another dock that I created a while ago. I made this route very long and zigzag. But I saw that the ship was going to every point properly and it was not lost. The ship was easily navigating this long and winding path, passing each of the zigzag buoys.

I created a passenger bus route in my own city a long time ago, in my first lesson. I saw many passengers waiting at that station, so I thought I would buy another bus here to increase my profit.

There are currently two buses transporting passengers in my city.

In terms of passengers on the ship, I saw that there were very few passengers there, so I thought one ship would be enough for here.

I saw many liters of oil accumulated at the oil station, so I thought I would increase the number of trucks on this route. A lot of oil is being transferred here through a single sip.However, it is not possible for one truck to unload so much oil. So I increased the number of trucks.

I have started a total of four oil tanks from Stations 2 to 3 and I was making quite a good profit from them.

When I made a profit of $500k here, after adding up the profits from everywhere, I stopped the game.

Since I made about 800K profit in the last lesson, I had to spend a lot of dollars to start this lesson. Due to which the graph initially went down a lot. But later the profits were slowly appearing. And these profits were slowly increasing.

Company Value

For my company, oil transportation was much more profitable. However, ship passenger transport seems a little unacceptable to me.Because the population in the two cities I visited, Sylhet, is fairly low, which is why my profits were low here. But I was able to make a lot more profit in oil transportation.

I have made the most profit using Ship on the Oil route because it can carry a lot of cargo at once and is easy to operate over long distances. The Truck route has worked well over short distances but has not been as profitable. So in my case, the ship was more profitable.
