Quantum thingies!.

So I read a few articles regards to quantum "theory" and it sort of went along the same lines as any of my daughters books from when she was three. If we view this particle it changes what it was going to do, and every possibility happens, yet if we do not view it it does not???????????????????????
No kidding, it was written just like that, and loads of them all the same. I bet you think I am making this up now don't you? Well see for yourself. How we are supposed to believe this "theory" is beyond me, it really is.

To put it another way, it's like being able to visit and pass on a message to two of your friends at once, say the researchers, rather than visiting one friend and then the other.

Del Santo and his colleague Borivoje Dakić from the Austrian Academy of Sciences have published a paper based on their theoretical calculations. Note theoretical.

Round 2 and a different cough cough scientist.

Strange behavior of quantum particles may indicate the existence of other parallel universes.
In his theory, Poirier postulates that small particles from many worlds seep through to interact with our own, and their interaction accounts for the strange phenomena of quantum mechanics. Such phenomena include particles that seem to be in more than one place at a time, or to communicate with each other over great distances without explanations.
There is no fuzziness in his theory. Particles do occupy well-defined positions in any given world. However, these positions vary from world to world. Not sure what worlds he is talking about as he does not clarify that part.

We have stolen things from a different dimension via our quantum computer.

Is another brain fart I not only read, I watched a video of the lunatic on stage saying this too, he did not though state what he/they had stolen, so the police from alternate realities can relax, for now.

A different video 19 minutes in length for those interested, quantum and life after death.

Time to bring you back down to "reality".

With the recent surge over the last 100 years or so in technology, you would think even the simplest things would be much easier than they are. I would like to talk now about real mysteries, unsolved mysteries that simply defy all known logic. The first of which is to do with a lolipop from Chupa chups.

DSC_0460.JPG

Why is this made predominantly for children, yet it takes fully grown adults 5 minutes to open the bloody thing, most times having to resort to teeth?

Shopping.

Observed today and on oh so many other occasions whilst visiting "any" supermarket with a moving conveyor belt and a person sitting at a till. They start and stop automatically do they not? Yes they do. My question here is why are they not fitted with a slow down to stop, not a complete stop instantly? This would then help all the people that think standing bottles up on them is a good idea. It would also take away the amount of time they spend standing the bottles back up for them to simply fall over again, the next time the belt stops. It would also aid those who put round things on sideways, that keep going back and forward smashing into everything in front and behind. :-)

Driver aids.

Like noted today also, a driving aid would be ideal, to tell people that overtaking at speed on roads that have snow in the middle at high speed is not a very clever idea, as we have to pull them out of fields. Three I noted today taking a turn for the worse, you would think seeing other people do it before you try might put you off, it seems not though with some, it must be a very important meeting to risk the life of everyone around you, including your own.

Bread and meat.

Why do they slice you cold meat up in a supermarket, put it in a plastic bag, then slap a sticky price label over the opening so you have to rip it open and use another container to store it? And the bread, oh the bread, seal it with a small bit of tape you have to rip off to get into it, making it impossible to seal again! I even have to use my teeth to get in it some times, how uncouth can I get..........

Just a few mysteries of the world.

Fell free to add yours below, have a superb evening, @shepz1 is over and out.

Images from pixabay and the loli is mine, so get your eyes off it!

I wish quantum physics would make taking tiles from a bathroom wall easier. As the shopping front the conveyor belt stops when an item reaches the end of the belt. If nothing reaches the end it keeps going and going.Thats how the "next customer please things work."You would have to be a right knobhead to stand wine up on the thing. Doesn't happen in Ireland as we like our alcohol.

From what I note here it is mainly bottles of pop of the 2 liter variety. They must like it to open like champers lol.

only you could have quantum mechanics, alternative universes and the conveyor belt in a supermarket in the same post @shepz1 😂

Lol I am a trier bro, gotta give me that. :-)

A lolipop from Chupa chups is for a child fun and exiting to unwrap , it's good for development of hand eye coordination .

The conveyor in more expensive supermarkets have the tech to keep bottles from falling over , only Lidl and Aldi kind of shops don't , the check out employee wil curse at you when you stack or put bottles upright .

Self-destructive drivers should get there own lanes or a place like a racing track to go and kill themselves and al that choose to take that ride . Self-destructive is human nature , not a mystery .

Meat comes in a lot of plastic these days , 90% of my waste is packeting materials . Bread sometimes is sealed with a plastic clip ;-)
I mostly solve this mystery with things from the knives and kitchen gear drawer . Metal cuts plastic .

And as about quantum entanglement things and stuff , to me as weird as a dead cat in a box , or Adam eating a donut ( thorus ) turning him in to a cop . ........ red pill , blue pill level shit ...... can someone please hand me that green pill !

You sir just earned the green pill, please do not swallow it in 1 go. :-)

The thing's described and explained about quantum computers and Ai by Geordie Rose are pure fiction and fantasy . I can understand the way particles are used in pares to create 0.1 and 1.0 situations for producing code . Yes a quantum computer has very fast and enormous calculation power . It can solve 1+1 with the speed of light or even faster . Still it can never know more as the information we can feed it . It might outsmart us humans by giving solutions to problems and mystery's we can't solve . This is reason to keep fantasy and fairytale about quantum tech alive . Like you create a oracle that could give you answers to all things you would like to know , but afraid of it's answers you do not give it all the info .
If ai running on normal computer power already came to solutions of genocide , what would a quantum one come up with ? ....... ;-)

What is the meaning of life? "42" according to a series I watched lol.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/42_(number)

42 (number)
42 (forty-two) is the natural number that succeeds 41 and precedes 43.

777777 or 6666666 ? tudu tudu dudu ..... don't tell Geordie this secret , he will need more bear bear's to deal with that enlightenment ;-)

Such mysteries indeed! The chupachups one is classic though. Who knows who designed that wrapper!

And after all this time, nobody has solved it! :-)

I'll give it a shot, they want to make it impossible for people to easily unwrap and place any type of poison in the package then reseal it. At least it's one of the reasons we find a lot of things now a days a lot more difficult to open.

Lol, Interesting theory, put if forward, you may win a Nobel peace prize, everyone else seems to win them easy enough, even whilst destroying the middle east. Ouch. :-)

I thought they gave it to him for being the first black president cause he certainly didn't do much else to win it so fast and easily....then at the end I am sure they regretted giving it to him. lol.

Not enough to take it way though, though Nobel has a very interesting history all on it's own.

How can they not make toilet paper that tears off properly in this day and age? Or packets that don't tear down the side and spill the contents out when just trying to open the top. Stay safe out there my friend :)

Technological advances is why my friend, a bit like the global warming outside now at minus 10c lol.

Yep that global warming thing now they call it climate change as they can never be wrong as the climate is always changing.

You nailed that on the head. :-)

I hear you about opening packages...I am a bit of a lover for chocolate covered almonds, so much so I really have to discipline myself about buying them, there's nothing worth then treating yourself only to find the content spilled out in an attempt to open them. My son was giggling at me a few weeks ago when I bought a package, got into the car then remarked that I now must cautiously attempt to open the precious contents of this package without spilling them all over the car.

I understand you're frustrations I have had similar things happen.

Lettuce is a big one for me, seems you always have to rip the packaging open to get to it then use half a box of plastic wrap to wrap it back up with...so now I put it in the plastic grocery bag I bring it home with, whirl it around tightly to get out all the air then secure with a old bread tie. Works rather well.

Ah this depends purely on the bread maker, see they have you addicted to the bread with the reusable ties lol.

Pretty much so, but then again 99.9% of the bread here comes with the ties....I can give you a cheap crafty alternative if you lack a tie...I grab a pipe cleaner from packs I keep laying around for arts and crafts for the grand kids and cut into ties.

Good idea, now I can stop using cable ties that I have to cut off. lol Joking.

I agree that there is a lot of quantum woo floating around, but I am an advocate for theoretical physics. There are several theories of quantum mechanics (like Everett's Many Worlds and Copenhagen Interpretation) and I think they are interesting to think about.

They are all mind fucks, end of!
