Insects in the Backyard | MyPictureDay Submission
"Bugs are not going to inherit the earth. They own it now. So we might as well make peace with the landlord." - Thomas Eisner
I was looking for some bugs earlier in our neighborhood. I feel like taking photos of insects today. I know that they will be out on a late afternoon probably going hunting or maybe having a rest.
I don't know what this spider is doing. It's like doing the splits while holding on to the flower. It was raining earlier so it's probably drinking water from the flower.
A butterfly then lands on a flower close to me. I was thinking that it wants her photo to be taken.
In the distance, A jumping spider just got out of its home to hunt for small insects. I thought It noticed me when I took the photo.
A fly. It wasn't moving at all. I thought it was dead or unconscious but when I moved the branch, it flew away. It then went back later on. lol
What I love about taking photos after a rain is the droplets on the leaves.
These photos are taken using a Nikon D90 + Tamron 17-50mm + Macro Filter. An entry to @timsaid's My Picture Day contest & @juliank's Animal Photography Contest.

awesome!
I definitely love the first shot. If you didn't point out the spider I wouldn't have noticed it. Smart camouflage.
lol.. yes it was perfectly hidden.. .
