1 Point For Party Boats - Chillin While They Clean Your Catch!

People love fishing. They do it on the land and they take out their private boats. I can't deny being a fan of fishing from wherever I can get them to bite, but Party Boats bring some extra attractions. Do they have their drawbacks? Sure they do. Not everyone likes to group up with strangers or give up control of the helm.

But for those of us who don't own our own sea-worthy vessels, a Party Boat is a good way to go. That or find a friend with a boat and bring something to the table. Even if you have cash and skills to offer a private trip, there will still be work to do. You might save some money by pitching in for fuel, but you'll also be cleaning fish or scrubbing the deck.

When The Fishing Is Over, Just Sit Back & Relax

It's by far the best reason I can think of to consider fishing a Party Boat. What exactly is a Party Boat? They are sometimes called Cattle Boats because they carry a lot of passengers. Passenger count, however, depends on the size of the boat.

They can get crowded but they don't always fill up. Some offshore operations take this into account. They offer limited load trips and charge more to make up the difference. Every Party Boat captain has one main purpose: to put anglers on the fish.

Secondary to that (or equal if you choose a pricey operation) is the comfort of the passengers. Captains will always take efforts to please their customers, but some boats don't have space to offer luxury accommodations.

Wrap Up Your Gear Then Grab A Cool Refreshment!!

Once the day is done on a private boat, it's time to clean. Someone gets to clean the boat and the fish in the lucky event you caught a few. It can make some people want to simply throw them back. Catch & release is a matter of regulations and self-choice.

Ocean species are also among the tastiest on Earth. Mmmmm. There's nothing like fresh sashimi! Bluefin Tuna a half hour out of the water? Now that's fresh! Yellowtail, Yellowfin Tuna, and Bluefin Tuna are staples when fishing the Pacific Ocean out of San Diego. Every few years we also see the coveted Albacore Tuna with their wing-like pectoral fins.

After the captain calls the fishing, the Party Boat turns and begins the trip back to the harbor it calls home. While anglers pack up their gear, a deckhand is cleaning the rails. Other mates are prepping the cutting board, a large deck fashioned to sit in place for the fish cleaning efforts. Anglers have plenty of time to talk, enjoying the company and the scenery.

And If The Day Has Grown Long, Head Down To Your Bunk

After a full day of fishing, snack, food, and a couple refreshments, it's nice to talk and tell stories. What often happens is the fatigue sets in. Muscles have been working for hours while concentration has been elsewhere. Now that realization sinks in and the brain responds.

It should be 2 points for Party Boats because of the bunks. No one gets any sleep on a small private craft. There just isn't enough room. plus they travel fast and rough. On a Party Boat anglers just pack everything up and head down to sleep when ready. The crew won't bother them until the harbor is close at hand.

When it is time to wake, there's still enough distance to gather your senses and maybe a cup of coffee. Get your stuff together and exchange any final farewells. Make sure you bring some extra spending money to tip out the deckhands. They do typically charge a fee for fish cleaning and they can't survive without gratuity. Just so you know, the crew has a great incentive to see their anglers catching fish!

I recently went on my first party boat trip and it was absolutely worth the money. I give an extra point for people watching too!

I didn't even have to take gear, bait, or tackle. It was all provided and our deck hand was phenomenal! I would go again in a heartbeat.

Yea you know about the work involved when taking a private boat. It sure is nice to chill and not have to worry about it. :)

Wow. Really hoping soon can do this activity too.

I always tell people to try a 1/2 day trip first. You can rent the gear and if you like it, then think about getting your own setups. :)

True.. this is really a good activity to do

I've never really tried like fishing. My papa loves it and loves to do it once in a while but your fishing is sort of high end compared to our fishing style here in the Philippines.

Offshore fishing requires money, no doubt about it. I'm good just going to the beach with a $20 rod and reel. That's fun too. :)

I know. It's nice to splurge once in a while. ^^

I love fishing too. But I feel bad for the fish being caught. Lol.

You aren't alone in feeling that way. If it helps, I can tell you that fish are smart. I've lost some nice ones and watched as they swam safely away. :)

Love fish too... Salmon sashimi.. yumz
Sounds like a lot of fun 😊

The only good part of being on a boat (besides the travel) was how well I slept. I can't imagine being on a party boat, though. Then again, I'm not much for fishing, either, so I suppose that'd have something to do with it!

A boat, a bunch of fishermen and women (yep women go out and fish too), and it's nothing but good times. You would love it is my guess, even if you didn't fish at all. :):)

Nah. I don't really do many social things and I get sea sick like nobody's business.

I know women fish as well, silly :) My son used to go out on the ocean with several women who were the only people we knew who went fishing all the time! :)

I only bring my wife when I want to get outfished. Lol. You get seasick? I thought you were a pirate! :):)

Haha, nope. Not a pirate. I was the mostly unconscious on dramamine pirate wench whenever we traveled. I was happiest when we got to stay in a nice protected harbor so I could enjoy life a bit more!

So funny byn. I meant to reply to this yesterday. I hit the vote button and saw one cent pop up, then went into a tailspin. Lol.
