Palm Trees: Show Us Your California

Hi everyone,

This post is an entry into the weekly contest of @socalsteemit where we show our California.

If you have spent any time in Southern California, you will notice there are many palm trees. There are many different varieties of palm trees you will see, and it is one of the signatures of the area and beach culture.

Despite many palm trees around, most are not native to the area as only one type- the Fan Palm - is truly native to California. The climate has certainly been good for all these palm trees though, and they thrive and grow well here.

I personally like the many palm trees and find them appealing on the landscape. The only issue is trimming them... what a pain!
