My 2018: This is my hobby: Drawing and Painting

To define what the drawing is, we must do it as the type of drawing that serves to express philosophical or aesthetic ideas as well as feelings and emotions. In this type of drawings the artist draws things as he sees them emotionally according to his own peculiar way of seeing the reality of his surroundings. The way a drawing is constructed has nothing to do with the artistic value of it. In contemporary art all trends are more or less accepted. That is why throughout the history of drawing, many types of drawings have appeared and several definitions that tell us what the drawing is according to what we want to represent or where we should focus.

Nobody is born learned, and starting from there it is unlikely to have in mind that at the beginning each idea counts; because to draw is not only to capture an allusive image to something you saw or simple graphic representation of what you thought, imagined or dreamed. For me, it is a search of who you are, of what you want to express, regardless of the result, as long as you have managed to illustrate what I wanted to convey, since that is what I am trying to draw, to express what I want without limitations.

In my beginnings I only drew graffiti

My passion for drawing started from the day I visited the Jesús Soto Museum in Ciudad Bolívar, when I was studying my second year of high school, they took us from the institution where I was studying to know the museum, that day I fell in love with the plastic arts

I remember that in the first thing I started to draw was in technical drawing, I charged my colleagues for doing their jobs, and when they left me with tasks where I had to draw I loved it a lot, because what I liked was what I liked; make the drawings of the books instead of tracing them or drawing them.
I always tried to make them more similar to those in the books. I practiced the drawings on any paper that could do it.

Over the years, I kept practicing the drawing, as my friends commissioned drawings of different designs and sizes and did them, leaving them satisfied.

With the passage of time I began to improve, I no longer cared about having the best drawing, but trying to have the best achieved illustration based on the composition, its intentionality and the aesthetics I wanted to handle.

Among the materials I have used to make drawings are: canvas, cloth, aluminum foil, cardboard, wood, cold paint colored pencils, graphite pencils, watercolor, chalk, markers among others.

To date, I'm still doing drawings, and I've lost count how many I've made; My ideal is to continue with the practice of drawing, until I achieve the perfection of the art of painting and drawing.

As I have a penchant for graphite drawing, it is what I practice most, I like that way of giving value to a drawing only taking it from the lightest to the darkest, looking for those lights and shadows to give it three-dimensionality.

It was that passion for drawing and painting that led me to study Graphic Design, nowadays I am waiting for the delivery of my degree as graphic designer.

If you ask me why I do it, I would say it is because when I draw I feel free and express feelings of joy and not sadness, which makes it special and fun, that's why I enjoy it and I never tire of doing it.

I spent many years of my life hiding in my drawings, screaming at the point of graphite what the set of prejudices that surrounded me did not let me say: hatred, pain, fear, insecurity, discontent and disappointment.

So I learned to speak between strokes and between those strokes I understood, seeing every step I took, that my life is only mine and if I do not live it nobody will do it for me.
