If something great is done in a company and no thank you follows,it shouldn't be seen as a big deal. Initially the company expect their workers to work and make the company move forward ,so anything done is part of what workers are employed for.
However, the fact that there isn't a thank you doesn't mean that what was done wasn't appreciated. I believe everyone is being watched,so when the time for appreciation comes, those with exceptional record will be the first to benefit. The great thing done is never a waste.
The silence will definitely spell out reward when the time is right. The best thing to keep doing is to continue making a difference without hoping for thank you. It will come when it isn't expected and it will be more than a mere present.
So what to do next is
1. Keep doing great things
2. Keep doing great things
3. And keep doing great things.

Wow that is a great answer. I appreciate your concern to answer. Not getting even a small thank you is annoying. I mean I do not expect a reward or something. It is sometimes hard to understand bosses.
