All work and no play they say, makes Jack a dull boy. In our case, "All work and no music makes engineering boring." This is exactly what the case was on a public holiday to mark the Eid-El-Fitr celebrations last year. Contrary to the holiday notice however, me and my colleagues had to be at work. I'll just say this is not so unusual for us. We are used to working extra hours - weekends and public holidays. By 'we', I mean me and my fellow engineers working in the same establishment.

My love for music as well as my interest in learning to play the piano has led me to purchase a fairly used Roland ep-7II piano. The piano was delivered to me on our site office on that day, and it was an opportunity to turn on the music and have some fun. We did a couple of songs, one of which is a freestyle that I'm sharing in this post.

I must warn at this point that these are engineers, not musicians, so it is a very untalented video. Even the video recording is very rough. It was supposed to be an audio recording but it turned out to be a rough video. Amidst all the untalentedness, it was so much fun for us until our director walked in to see us making music in the office. Do not worry, we were not sacked. Not even a querry. After all, it's a public holiday.
