Ethir Anduin is a "one-man band" of talented Russian musician Aleksey Veselov, who plays black metal and funeral/blackened/atmospheric doom. The project was founded in 2006 and has released 12 albums to date.

Ethir Anduin - проект, созданный талантливым музыкантом Алексеем Веселовым в городе Тихвине, что в Ленинградской области, в 2006 году. Вначале Ethir Anduin играл исключительно funeral doom, мрачный и тяжелый, как старая могильная плита. Однако со временем звук начал "разрастаться вширь" и становиться все более симфоничным, пока не превратился в настоящий atmospheric doom. Впрочем, некоторые треки как на ранних, так и на поздних альбомах можно отнести к чистому black metal, что вовсе не противоречит идеологии проекта.
Интересная деталь: в среде black metal не так уж редко встречаются истории, когда группа, первоначально созданная как "one-man band", затем превращалась в полноценный коллектив. Порой это происходило незаметно, а порой даже против воли самих основателей. С Ethir Anduin случай противоположный: Алексей Веселов неоднократно приглашал для записи других музыкантов, но каждый раз заканчивать работу ему приходилось в одиночку. Проект так и остался студийным, во всяком случае, по состоянию на сегодняшний день. Как сказал классик, в одну телегу впрячь не можно коня и трепетную лань.
