Virginia Creeper

This is one of my favorite songs I played with Elby Brass, out of Fredericksburg, Virginia. It was originally written and scored for a high school marching band by Seth Casana, who is the sousaphone player and founder of the band. I always thought it had the feel of a classic action/spy movie theme, and it is always good for getting the audience dancing. It's a bit of an endurance challenge for a trumpet player, especially since we would typically end a set with it, when you are starting to get numb in the lips!
