Turquoise Summers~

Phillip Riddick goes by the moniker Turquoise Summers and embodies a circadian American tale, that often times ends as a nightmarish swan song. On his second tour in Iraq, he suffered shrapnel to the right eye and arm that became life-threatening. His road to recovery included onerous therapy sessions accompanied with a connection to modern funk ... a genre that his cousin DāM-FunK had already pioneered with a progressive ambient creation within.

Turquoise Summers has quickly become one of the most funky sounds to come out of L.A., and is a staple on Omega Supreme Records.

Toro Y Moi~

Chazwick Bear known professionally as Toro Y Moi is a singer, song-writer, and record producer in Berkeley, California. He is an artist from his origin, as he is also a graphic designer and creates the artwork for his album covers. I'll admit that some of his earlier musical material wasn't something that caught my attention but his most recent release Boo Boo the single Girl Like You earned awareness from me....please listen.

In the chillwave style, other producers or fans that have the proper capabilities will usually slow down the tempo of songs they like with minor tweaks that offer another listening experience that feels different than the original.
