Slayer live! A farewell tour.

On Friday evening, I had the opportunity to see Slayer in their last tour. Joining them on the tour was Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth and Testament. Unfortunately because of traffic, we were unable to see both Testament and Behemoth, but we made it just in time for three of the most iconic bands in the Metal Music scene.

First up out of those bands was Anthrax. I have seen them before and they always put on a great show. Here is the set list that they played (via setlist.fm)

Here is a video I was able to capture of them playing Caught in a Mosh. At first, the lead singer's mic was not on. That is why you cannot hear the vocals at first.

Right as Anthrax finished playing, the weather took a turn for the worse. As expected, nobody at a metal show seemed to care. Nonetheless, the clouds and sun made for a great photo.

Next up was Lamb of God. And as you can see, the heavens opened up for the aptly named band.

The final act was the main event, Slayer. If you have followed me on Steemit, you have seen that I have been to a Slayer show before, but this was is different, for it is their final tour. After over 37 years of playing and touring, frontman Tom Araya and lead guitarist Kerry King are ready to retire. Araya, King and Jeff Hanneman (now deceased) were the original members of Slayer. One of the best concerts I have ever seen and it truly has been an awesome ride for these metal icons. Horns up!
