I love music created by Sevendust

Among the alternative groups Sevendust stands out in bold among many other bands. They always played a bit heavier and darker than the rest of the metalworkers, which made them recognizable in the chosen musical flow. The voice of Lajon Witherspoon will be hard to mix up with someone else, and the guitar Clint Lowery is a fusion of standing on the verge of insanity of riffs.

In terms of severity, their first albums are ready to compete with the discography of many current alternative bands. But I am impressed by the very other side of Sevendust, namely, their slow songs. These songs really reveal their compositional talents and show how good they are in the chosen case.

As a representation of the band, I chose the song "Last Breath". In terms of building musical parts, it can be said to be standard, that's why it is perceived well, does not throw the listener out of the comfort zone. I hope you will enjoy.

Interest in the group I had recently. When you listen to the music of a certain artist, you notice the features of the game / style, which wander from one plate to another. And like I should get used to it, but sometimes even dozens of songs I listen to are driven into a stupor. In Sevendast, it's great to mix elements of thrash and alternative metal, due to which some compositions have interesting parts, which can even be confusing at first.

"Live Again" is one such example. A sharp deceptive introduction, an unexpected calm and, finally, an entry into the rhythm. Simply the coolest example.

Notable facts in the history of the group are few. I know that with the name of the group they were not lucky a couple of times. Beginning to play since 1992, the musicians were called Rumblefish, but soon learned that there are already some such band. Renamed to Crawlspace and even in the year 96 their record "My Ruin" was included in the compilation "More Kombat", dedicated to the movie "Mortal Kombat".

And then again it turned out that Crawlspace - the name of another American group, which played longer. So there was Sevendust.

Guys achieved some popularity in 97th, released the first record of the same name. But on longplay there is still some kind of unsettledness (or something). Most of all in their discography are noteworthy albums "Animosity" and the subsequent "Seasons". The first was awarded the gold status, and the second is considered the best work of the group to this day.

I adore when Sevendust perform their music on acoustics. "Skeleton Song", although identical to the album version but it's cool.

But the "Black" released in the first album, after processing completely changed and became better, both in music and the vocal part.

Of course, the discography of the band should be listened to selectively. Not all songs are successful, not everyone is up to their real level. But Sevendust for me will always remain one of the best representatives of the alternative scene.
