Three Tune Tuesday Recommendations.
Thank you ablaze for this wonderful opportunity to share what we love which is music. Another week to recommend amazing songs and it's week 59. I am happy to be a part of this wonderful initiative. It's a great opportunity to show others the kind of music that I have been exposed to over time.
The first one for this week is titled Dilemma by Nelly featuring Kelly Rowland. You can watch the video below:
Wake me up and I would sing this song to you many years ago. I am sorry but this song makes me feel old because I know most people might never remember this song. This song was a thing many years ago. I love this song because it was the song that introduced Kelly Rowland as a solo artist. She left her group then which was Destiny Child. Nelly was known already but Kelly Rowland hasn't created that solo niche for herself yet. This song was used to introduced her to the world as a solo artist and it prepared her for the album she released. This song featured in both Nelly's album titled Nellyville and Kelly Rowland's first album too which was titled Simply Deep.
I am still looking for Nelly 🤣😂 because this song made me admire him back then and I've always been a fan. I still judge his influence in the music industry based on this track he did many years ago. How many people can remember this track? I don't want to feel old alone please 🤣🤣🤣.
The second track for today is Lonely by Akon.
You can watch the video below:
This song got to me many years ago. It wasn't because I broke someone's heart or I allowed someone else to go but because I felt the emotions of Akon there. The song was about a guy who treated another girl badly by being inconsiderate and with cheating. She stood her up and despite the lady being with him throughout all his down moments, he still cheated on her and this made the girl to leave. She couldn't take it anymore and she left. It's true that you don't know the value of what you have until you lose it. The guy later got to know how valuable the lady was but it was too late because we all have our breaking point. The lady reached hers and she left. This song was in 2004. I don't know why older songs are getting to me today for TTT.
The last one for today is Need You by Marc Anthony. You can watch the video below:
This is an evergreen song filled with the best love feeling ever. You can win the heart of a lady when this song was released in 1999. If you can successfully sing the song or write the lyrics for a lady, you can be so sure she would fall head over heels for you. It was so subtle and sweet. You must fall in love 🤣😂. This song was also was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in the year 2000. The song is about a man who longs to know how a woman feels about him and the simple part of the song that got me more was when he said "the moment you said my name, I knew that everything would change."
I can relate to that because when you have a crush and the crush either touch you or mention your name, it's a feeling that you can never describe. It's like a dream come true. I love this song so much.
That's all for the week and see you next week.
