THIS MONTH IN HIP HOP HISTORY: WU-TANG CLAN & A TRIBE CALLED QUEST CHANGED THE LANDSCAPE IN HIP-HOP

Nov 9'th, 1993 forever changed the landscape in Hip Hop because two great Hip Hop classics came up on that day: A Tribe Called Quest Midnight Marauders and The Wu Tang Caln Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). I been lucky and blessed to be around this ear and into the Hip Hop culture, I remember when those albums dropped we had to cue in front of the record store and wait for 3 long hours to cop those classics.

Today's generation will never experience what we experienced back then, all is fast nowadays ... even the music itself don't last long as before you quickly get tired of it after a few months. That's why i keep digging older music and explore rare gems and classics, as they say Old but Gold but we're here to tell the stories, keep the culture alive and spread and curate that good historical music.

Funny enough without realizing two days ago i did my post on Introducing : A Great Collection Of Rare Gems | Wu Tang Soul where i breakdown the original music that was sampled by The Wu Tang Clan without realizing that on that day it was the 23'rd anniversary of one of my favorite Hip Hip Albums...

Salute to all my Hip Hop Heads out there, Enjoy the classics!

im not into hiphop music much but i love the animations lol

@shaff.aff at least u like somethin in the post and u engage with me, Kudos!

Again, thank you @djlethalskillz for reminding us of the elemental and foundational hip-hop history. Even after couple more decades, we will have the same feeling about these albums. Timeless.

You're absolutely right about the fast food music industry. A "few months" is being generous though. Meanwhile, we probably listened to these albums for more than 20 years?

Another notable album in that month is Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle. Outside the month of November in 1993: 2Pac (Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z...), Ice Cube (Lethal Injection), Cypress Hill (Black Sunday), Geto Boys (Till Death Do Us Part), Mobb Deep (Juvenile Hell), Guru (Guru's Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1), Souls of Mischief (93 'til Infinity), ... nevermind I'm not listing them it all. There's too many.

@scuzzy appreciate it mah hiphop fam! Thank u for extending the list with more classics that should not be left out, i have all of the mentioned on vinyl back home and def they lived with me as i was a kid growing up! I value and appreciate all the knowledge and history u bringing to the community also.
it's on passionate people like us to keep the real culture alive, Keep on Keeping on, Kudos!

Those were the days...
Both albums blew my mind the first time I heard them. The same with Guru's Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1, Cypress Hill:Black Sunday, De La Soul: Buhloone Mindstate, Das EFX: Straight Up Sewaside, Digital Underground: The Body-Hat Syndrome, Onyx:Bacdafucup, ... released in that same year.
I guess it was a good year for hip hop ;)

Thanks for sharing and reminding me! Follow and upvoted!
Cheers,
@romaan-namoor

Less well known but for me it's also a classic album, released in 1995, and similar to mobb deep in terms of sound and lyrics spitting...

It is nice indeed we're connected and looking forward to our future exchanges.

Respect, love and manners

Salute mah man @romaan-namoor
