What is Heavy Metal?
At Wikipedia they say:
Heavy metal (or simply metal or heavy rock) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. With roots in blues rock and psychedelic/acid rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness.

Oh, my God! How long without bursting my ears with a good metal at full volume.
After listening to these pieces I stayed several hours listening and watching the videos of my favorite bands on YouTube.
I had to do a self reflection. Why did I stop listening to metal?
For a long time my musical taste was pigeonholed in Reggae and Ska (in fact I love this music) but I will never forget what I felt the first time I heard the Black Sabbath album "Born Again".
What is Heavy Metal for me? Simply: "Iron Maiden".
