Adjusted from Mohammed Amin Bhat's play, 'Hamid' is a painfully excellent depiction of misfortune, love and aching in one of the world's most agitated and hostile regions, Kashmir. What's fascinating and excellent is that the authors don't pander to patriotism, similar to the case in most Hindi movies about Kashmir, and adhere to the point. Rehmat (Sumit Kaul) is missing, who is a father to seven-year-old Hamid (Talha Arshad Reshi) and spouse to Ishrat. While Ishrat endeavors to discover her better half, similar to how a large number of Kashmiri ladies do; by setting off to the police and later to the funeral home, little Hamid has his own, splendid way. He calls God specifically and asks his dad's whereabouts. Where does he get the number from, you inquire? Indeed, everybody realizes Allah's number is 786! He makes sense of an approach to dial Allah, and the call is steered to a CRPF Jawan, who gets associated with the kid's life, yet from a separation.
