So Team Great Britain have left things pretty late to name their team and rumors and speculation have been rife in the paddock but the wait is finally over. The three riders who will be representing Great Britain at Redbud have been confirmed and are as follows, Tommy Searle (MXGP), Ben Watson (MX2) and Max Anstie (Open).
Max Anstie had the ride of his life last year at Matterly Basin and it comes as no surprise to me at all that he would've been the first name on Mark Chamberlain's list. He was the star of the show and being on home soil was the push he needed and man was it lapped up by the home crowd! Next up we have Team Great Britain veteran, Tommy Searle who has led the boys into battle on quite a few occasions now. Ben Watson is the fresh blood this year and is currently running fourth in the MX2 class of the FIM World Championship series. He rider for Kemea Yamaha and has podiumed countless times this season, it's great to see him in the squad and it will be some adventure at Redbud that's for sure!
There is no Dean Wilson this time round which will surprise a few fans but with his battles with injury throughout the 2018 season for both Supercross and motocross this is a good call i think.
