in #motivation6 years ago

We can wish for prosperity. Have money, want health and many more things that would seem to ensure the lifestyle we aspire to. Surprise, steemian, none can give us the life we long for.

You can enjoy having prosperity, and even then, not be happy. You may have an enviable health, and not be happy. You may have a beautiful family, and you know, maybe you know someone who has it, and it's unhappy.

So, what could you do to be happy?

Before, I want to share what an old cat said to a puppy that chased its tail incessantly. After he stopped for a moment, and still half dizzy, he heard when the older cat asked what he was doing.

-I keep my tail, I know that if I reach it, I will have caught the happiness.
-Small, you do not know that you can not reach her, she will follow you when you stop doing it.

Live, enjoy life, thank, and other things that I will tell you in this post, they will show you that you must stop chasing your tail.

Happiness and happiness will come when we stop pursuing them.

This is where King Solomon reminds us that there are barriers that prevent us from reaching happiness.

It is a wisdom that arose long before the birth of Christ, and still most human beings, even when there are so many advances and information, fail to understand, and even less, apply in their lives.

Wisdom is when the truth is applied in life. It is necessary to have wisdom when you want to live happily.

Wisdom was what King Solomon cultivated during his life. Fortunately, in the book of Proverbs, he left us his legacy.

Let's see what barriers prevent us from living happily.

There are things that seem to be important, it would seem that assessing them would give us what we really want. Here we see that wanting the wrong prevents us from enjoying happiness.

I speak of vanity. To desire what is not really important, what has no purpose or eternal value. To focus efforts on vanity is to deviate from the path. It reminds me of the kitten who chased his tail.

Pursuing the wrong will take you away from your happiness.

Another barrier that you must take into account, is to keep away ingratitude. It is not possible to be happy if it is present.

There are many who complain exclaiming "is that nobody understands me, I have problems that you do not understand".

Wow, that's what I've heard a lot of times. We have a huge number of reasons to be grateful, but the loss of focus guides us towards what we do not have, towards ingratitude.

Make a list of what you have to thank, and you will see that what causes you regret, is only a small part.

Countless men and women have shown us that they can fulfill what they propose by not focusing on what they lack, but in thanking what they have. Examples we have daily, people with serious physical limitations, overcoming obstacles in appearance, insurmountable.

They are blind, paralyzed, deaf, people without money, limited by not having what it is normal for anyone to have it.

More, they have a difference with the rest. They focused on what they have, and forgot what they lack. Suddenly, the magic is done, happiness comes to their lives.

A happy person is apt to achieve an admirable lifestyle, becomes a magnet that catches those who know him. When someone manages to catch the attention of others, can climb mountains, can advance to infinity if so decides.

Are you really grateful? I have noticed that when a problem arrives, the anguish takes over all the attention, and complaining about that difficulty, diverts the feelings away from joy and happiness.

The day arrives that resolves that problem that overwhelmed so much. But suddenly, another problem takes its place. Friend steemian, if there really was gratitude for the resolution of the first problem, the new problem would not have taken its place.

That is why there are people who live mortified, they do not thank from the heart for having overcome an obstacle, and immediately, without realizing it, look for another difficulty.

In short, without gratitude, there is no happiness.

What good can unhappiness do? It is an opportune time to review our lives, and refocus on the right. Make a list of everything you are grateful for, and review it when you feel the intensity of your happiness decrease.

Just have the humility to recognize the innumerable amount of things to thank, happiness will invade your life. This is how you stop chasing the tail.

Solomon warns us of another wall, envy. To believe that happiness is obtained if one possesses what another has achieved, is a common mistake.

It is unknown if who owns what is envied, is happy. They do not know their problems thoroughly, because of what they are feeling. You only see what you envy.

The disadvantage with envy, in wanting what your neighbor has, is that you abandon yourself to gratitude.

Do you see how easy it is to attract unhappiness? Do not think that by having transient joys you can have a life full of happiness.

Whoever has envy will not have happiness. If someone does not take care to keep envy away, he will always have reasons to envy.

Eliminate the obstacles that keep you away from what gives life meaning, your happiness.
