Nuggets of Wisdom #22

in #motivation7 years ago

Every year thousands of students graduate with the hope of entering the world of work. Soon, they realize their college/university degree has prepared them for everything but real life. Higher education Institutions enable students to have credentials, but they do not teach ethics or transmit lofty values.

They do not teach empathy or patience, but only focus on students meeting the demands of their course. As you will see from today's nugget of wisdom, the problem lies in the misconceptions of what education is or should be. If institutions are not designed to make a person better, but rather a place where a piece of paper is collected, then that version of education is more destructive than beneficial.

True! School doesn't teach real world application.

This is so true, personally I believe what education gives us is relevance

yeah, and most things in institutions are not relevant.
