Here is @imbigdee reporting on Steemit this week with a new article titled: TALK TO SOMEONE TODAY.

Reports online have shown that there have been a great increase in depression, frustration and suicide. Most suicide notes show that the victims have no one to talk to or refuse to talk to someone about their predicaments or conditions. Most times, I don't blame them, I blame the world we live in. The wickedness and evil humans exhibit these days are terrible to behold.

This article is a call-out to everyone reading this, if you are going through any predicament, condition or illness or you are having suicidal thoughts. Please talk to someone. There are so many foundations, Non-governmental organizations that can help you.

No condition is truly permanent. Tough times don't truly last, tough people do. I heard the story of a young boy that got bullied by older students. He wanted to talk to his parents but they were never around. They were busy chasing good life instead of looking out for their children. Eventually, the guy committed suicide. He couldn't write out his suicide note and it took the Police weeks to figure out what he went through.

There have been an increase in rape and child abuse. Most cases, the victims are threatened not to open up. The fear of the threat make them to suffer the pain alone. This results in emotional, moral, social and psychological problem for them

Who Can You Talk To?

1.) Your Parents: One of our parents' responsibilities is to take care of us and ensure good well-being. No matter how difficult the situation is, you should be able to talk to your parents. If you can ask for money and they can give then you should be able to highlight your problems to them.

2.) A member of the Family: No matter how bad a family is, there is always someone we can relate with. Some parents are either too busy or some are just useless so most times, we find it hard to communicate with them. There should be a brother or sister, uncle or aunty, niece or nephew, nuclear or extended member of the family we can relate with. It could even be someone you are in relationship with like a fiance/fiancee, boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife.

3.) A spiritual Head: Most people find it easy to talk to the spiritual Head of their faith like their Pastor, Imam or Monk, they believe they won't judge them. Find a spiritual Head somewhere to talk to. He/she can pray, support and care till you overcome your problems.

4.) A medical Personnel: You can talk to a Doctor/Nurse around you. It could be a school nurse/doctor if you are a student. They have been taught to listen and help people. They can also recommend professionals to talk to.

5.) A Professional: There are shrinks/therapists trained to talk to people. Their work is to find solutions for people. They talk to depressed or troubled people and make sure a solution come out of the sessions. This may cost money but most times, it is worth it.

After talking to these people, I believe you can truly find inner peace and overcome your troubles. It may take time but you will eventually get there. Silence is terrible when in trouble. Also, talk to the right people. Be careful who you talk to. I have discovered most times, people ask how we are so they can see if we are better than them or not.

No matter what is going on with you, it has happened to someone and he/she is living right now. Let's stop rape, discrimination, child abuse, domestic abuse so the world can be a better place for us all. Thanks for reading my piece and I hope this helps someone, somewhere.
