Steemit:Of Persistence and Needs.
Its been a tough journey here on Steemit but I have to keep going for me to become an integral part of this community.
The early days were a bit frustrating as I had not gotten a hang of what Steemit is all about,I'm still learning new things with each passing second and I am grateful for all the love and support I've gotten so far on this platform.
I have seen pals who I thought were doing better than myself become disillusioned about rewards on Steemit. Some have abandoned the project all together, some went off radar only to reappear couple of weeks later.
I have come to realise that aside being creative and coming up with good content and interacting with the community, the greatest attribute you require is persistence, infact without persistence you'll become disillusioned even if you're creative. So what is persistence?
Persistence the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition-Google.
You might think you've written a great blog but the community might think otherwise,,then you have to look critically at the feedback you are getting and restrategize and keep on steeming.
You have to understand that your blog has to be consumed by the community and that sometimes there is a difference between real needs and felt needs.
Felt needs are changes deemed necessary by people to correct the deficiencies they perceive in their community-Jerry L. Wade.
Where you notice a gap or difference in felt needs and real needs, try to harmonize or bridge the gap with the community at the back of your mind. There is nothing wrong if you try to influence the community in a certain way, if it is accepted great, if not take a good look at it come up with another plan.
Other times it might just be that you are way ahead of the community in which case you slow down and try to bring the community up to speed or you segment and keep going one step at a time.
Above all the feedback from the Steemit community is of utmost importance in your success on Steemit and without persistence this may not be achievable.
