I love the words and believe in listening to and following my heart. How many times have I heard as well as say to others, Listen to your heart, be guided by your heart. Only you will know.
There have been opposing theories as to which was best to use - the brain or the heart. It was either one or the other. Now it is not. Heart Math has played a leading role in encouraging one to deal with life and stress by using both. Heart Math is an organisation based on science based technology. Teachers tell me that Heart Math is also used successfully promoting emotional and mental health and well being in children. Exciting!
So many times I have been encouraged in my spiritual readings to listen and work with my heart. It is the heart that knows one best and has the understanding of what one needs. But the heart is not the only way to communicate through, the intellect is as important. I have come to the realisation that both play a role together. In essence we need both heart and brain; the trick is not to let one rule over the other.
But, others come from different viewpoints and this is what makes life interesting. Here are three comments attached to this post.

howdy there @angiemitchell! you gotta use both like you said. Wisdom and experience from the head and passion and intuition from the heart..should be able to achieve a balance and thus..great decisions.
