Quite some time back, I was passing by the Padang. Back then, it was just getting setup for the National Day Parade rehearsal and was almost ready. For about 2 months, the rehearsal has since been going on. On Friday, is our National Day and the parade will be happening there. Recently, I heard on the news that the Padang is gazatted as a National Monument together with a few very old bridges. I don't know about you but calling a big field a National Monument sounds kind of strange to me but that means it's going to be there forever or it means nobody can build something on top of it. 😎
