Title: Love Poem
Location: Berlin-Mitte, near train station Friedrichstrasse
It is kind of customary in Berlin, that you find a lot of posters and leaflets plastered on walls. It is also customary to find stuff, like the random piece of furniture, discarded in the streets. It morphs naturally into the cityscape, usually annoying those who prefer a sterile and overly polished habitat. But hey, that is my Berlin. It is the poetry of Berlin. Things work different in that place. It always has been, is and always will be. It adds to that special Berlin feeling which politicians and suburbians and conservatives and greedy investors would love to be gone, together with all the cool and edgy and wild stuff like street musicians, random art in the public space, a good amount of chaos, the freedom to be who you are, which make that city still a city full of life and that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ vibe that makes me love this city to bits and which is under threat from said people. They would love to take it away and replace it with boredom. They can try, but they would have to take it from my dead hands.
