This is my entry for the #monomad challenge: Metropol Parasol in Sevilla.

in #monomad5 years ago

Hi everyone! On Tuesday, the day dedicated to black-and-white photography, we will go with you, friends, to one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Seville. The warm atmosphere of hospitality is intertwined with an incredibly rich history, which is reflected in art, architecture and music. However, the city is not static, but dynamically evolving, so among the historic buildings appear futuristic structures, which, however, is not only perfectly with the old surroundings but become recognizable symbols of this place. And one of them - the Metropol Parasol in Encarnacion square - we will visit today. It is worth noting that this is the largest wooden structure in Europe built by German architects and builders. And yes - it is really wooden, but it is based on huge concrete supports. At the top there is a cafe and an extended observation deck, which looks like a metal path with differences in heights and steps. And it is designed in such a way that you can see the whole city. Let's go!
