make a few pounds off ebay and local bargain search

in #money7 years ago (edited)

allot of us are struggling with money , and jobs are hard to come by and not worth having when you get them some days ,  my last job was awful i had to stand for 8 hour shifts leading to sciatic nerve pains which un less you've experienced you cant imagine , a bit like tooth ache in your leg and arse .

so any way i am now determined to eek a living out as self employed , and cryptos are my chief hope , but and a big but were to get the money to invest , so here a story about a way to make a few pounds , most areas have a web site that will scan ebay for items that have no bids or collection only , which of course will reduce any potential buyers down to those nearby , the one i use is  baycrazy , local bargain search , just put in your post code and maybe 100 miles radius and maximum spend £100 maybe and search all categories

this is my latest purchase , you have to be open to any thing , trust your instincts

the ad read

Rare and unusual stone figure head This was set in the stonework above door of house we renovated
Measures 28 cm from front of face to back
20 cms high
15 cms wide
Collection Only as very heavy
Cash on collection please

and yahoo i won using a snip tool , called Gixen also free to use  to bid in the closing seconds

 Winning bid:
£32.00
3 bids ]

so normally i would clean and fix up what i have bought , but no need , in fact any signs of age only added to its charm,  my main qualification is always would i like to keep it , and yes was the answer , i did a bit of research and couldn't really find any thing similar as for the king portrayed the head came from near York and this of course suggested  Richard the third , son of York , and also there was a likeness of Lawrence Olivier as Richard the third

although much older than the film , there was a resemblance , so i re advertised the head on ebay , now this is the important bit  FREE POSTAGE , no bids , buy it now price only , oh and always start high , as you can lower your price latter , and to be truthful if i didnt need the money i would have kept it as i had become quite attached to it
