Even with all the documentation and analysis of the great depression, the 1987 crash, dot com bubble, and the great recession another crash is still likely going to happen. Why? I do not think it is because humans like to repeat history. Instead I believe simply it is over expansion of credit. People investing beyond their means and when things start to unwind the mass has no where to hide as most of our retirement is in the financial system.
