ONECENT Report - Profits Update, News & Free Upvote - - Day 100 of 200
Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 2324 STEEM (+29 STEEM), including 1247 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 17403 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 13.35 STEEM cents (0.1335 STEEM), flat on yesterday.
ONECENT News
Well, we've hit the halfway mark of this ONECENT trading fund experiment. Looking back at Day 2 we see a price of about 9.1 STEEM cents. It also reminded me that we had a bit of a faltering start as I went on a family holiday and left my keys at home. Obviously some people have come in at 1 or 2 cents, but that first buying rally peaked at 16 cents hence giving us that quite high starting ABV.
So much so, that the ABV still hasn't reached that initial peak. Our current ABV of 13.3 cents gives us an average profit of 4.2 cents, or 46%. This is also equivalent to 168% APR. This is from a blockchain that delivers about 22% APR on upvotes alone.
The chart below shows a fairly steady progress, with a nice rally in the first half of October followed by the current consolidation. Today we have seen a solid rise and I hope this continues.
Projections are hard to make as the Steem economy has changed somewhat, but setting a target of 100% returns by the end of 200 days seems achievable. This is, of course, based on the ABV, those members who bought in at 1 or 2, or even 3, cents are sitting on some great profits.
And this is, perhaps, one issue that I have been unable to resolve: that most members are holding on to some high profits so that there is far less buying and selling than I imagined. Perhaps these trading games end up more akin to short-term funds. I shall review that daily new token creation on Day 120.
