We have heard of the widening gap between the rich and the poor, the disappearing of the middle class and how wealth is being concentrated into the hands of the few. Yet, how do all these come into play?

It all roots back to the current monetary system that we have.

What is money? Where does money come from? Who holds the power to issue legal tenders?

“Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.” This is a famous quote by Mayer Amschel Rothschild, the banker and the founder of the Rothschild banking dynasty. There is this conspiracy theory going around and whether Rothschild did say this is quite debatable.

The point to make here is, of all the possible means to control and influence the people, the issuing of money is the most powerful one. What we have here today is a centralized, powerful and autocratic banking system, where the majority have no say over major policies, which could be harmful to the mass in most cases.

Bitcoin as a form of money is about giving people the financial power they ought to have.

That’s why we need to start by looking at the very basic element of this cryptocurrency revolution - money.
