Let's use Tether to pair Steem/SBD on more exchanges. After seeing UpBit S.Korean Exchange add Fiat<>Steem/SBD Pairs for Korean Won (KRW) I realized that Blocktrades has Tether, so why doesn't bittrex allow Steem/SBD to Tether exchanges directly?
Welcome to Ackzakistan, So I have been discussing with @mughat on @fyrstikken 's steemspeak.com that Tether is a great example of a working fiat crypto hybrid and it can be replaced one day with SBD if we can scale the Steem backed Dollar (SBD) up from just a few million dollars marketcap to the half a Billion dollar marketcap of Tether USDT . Imagine if we used SBD to compete with Tether and simply increase the supply of SBD by burning Steem to produce more SBD. We should be asking Bittrex to list USDT and Steem/SBD pairs!

I discovered Tether has a mobile Ap for Android/iOS and it let's you login with your API keys, so it would be possible to send and receive tether from one exchange account to another, and it is a beautiful thing, imagine when everyone just uses mobile tether wallets instead of paypal/venmo as a way to transfer digital Fiat! We will see a Tether for Euro and Chinese Yuan, Japanese Yen and so on just like how Japan forked Ripple and uses it for its own internal Japanese Yen transfers. We should scale up SBD to compete with Tether and allow it to become a more decentralized system. Tether is just Omni and uses a Bitcoin Backbone and it sucks, its slow and expensive. Let's get Tether to replace it's old BTC infrastructure with Steem and REALLY get this party started!

Many other exchanges soon to list Steem/SBD as the MASTER currency instead of Bitcoin, just like they use Litecoin on cryptopia as a means to exchange coins to avoid Bitcoins high fees and slow transaction times, exchanges will switch to STEEM or SBD instead! They will get a taste for zero transaction fees and realize that by pairing all cryptocurrencies with STEEM/SBD they can actually make a lot more money by saving on bitcoin and even litecoin transaction fees! Ethereum was added on @poloniex and @bittrex as a base pair but Steem/SBD works so much better! (This recent addition of SBD/Steem to this large korean exchange is one big reason for SBD going up over $2 recently!

tether is a ticking time bomb with bitfinex and bitconnect....ppl need to realize the stability of sbd and even better BitUSD aka bts...instead of thether backed by nothing
You have some great points here, SBD is so stable, we just have to wait for it to go back down to $1... I feel like many new exchanges like upbit will eventually inform customers about what SBD actually is, as I believe many investors are simply buying into SBD thinking it is the main currency of steem? It is very amusing!

Yes man, I agree Tether Bitfinex and bitconnect all ticking time bombs but they dont have to be!
they are because everyday a sucker is born they trust anything ....they dont do enough research...so in some ways they deserve whats coming...but i dont deserve uninformed masses affecting my portfolio...cuz tether is in every exchange including the bts DEX...i warned my fellow traders before mt gox....they were stupid trusting that exchange and there stupidity caused my portfolio to crash....but i HOLD no matter what so im fine but still most new informed and uninformed traders shouldnt suffer from a few who believe in unicorns...lol
Nahh its not like Gox... tether is actually going to get FDIC insured son, just watch, we will see Tether competitors so no matter what it will be up to you to get diversified, and yes it is your fault if your in a system yand your portfolio drops because of uninformed masses well u had a chance tpo try and inform them BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY you had the chance to NOT hold tether... You will be fine if you hold Coins at Bittrex, youre fine, just maybe not if u hold Tether, but thats Tether! the PRICE of tether can go DOWN and thats the funny part... if tether starts going DOWN in price, youll SEE it
AND it wouldn't be HARD to actually make tether work if for some reason yorue saying they DONT have the money

we can agree to disagree...i hold no tether only bit USD and STEEm dollars...i have been investing since 2009 in crypto and have only lost value on 1 coin of 16 coins that went up in value...uSD tether which is backed by bitfinex will blow up it just a matter of when .... FDIC insured for tether doubt it...

Interesting didn't hear about real property being exchanged for bitcoin, but shouldnt be surprised I guess. Seems like exchanges will inherently use whatever secured credit system best insulates against risk.
