The bot is back!
After much coding and planning, testing and possibly a little cussing, the bot is up.
It is far improved to our previous bot and features some wonderful new things to help it serve us better.
No more waiting on cool-down for a failed vote.
No more confusion over how long the cool-down is.
Updated the registration process for simplicity and automation, including an automatic refund of the transfer fee.
It now ties in closer to the bot for AAT enforcement and will be able to provide us with more detailed information toward catching multiple-account abusers.
We love our new bot!
The details of this weeks prune of the member-list -
- 8832 Members before this week's prune was run. (838 new accounts since last week)
- 30 Day Prune has removed 116 dead accounts. (12 more were removed this Prune.)
- This leaves our count at 8716 Members after the prune.
- ~1030 Peak Concurrent users this week. (With the growth and our bots returning to working order, this is about in-line.)
Updated stats on Bans and Blacklist -
- 1469 Discord bans (+65 new from previous)
- 1386 accounts in total are now Blacklisted by @minnowsupport (+102 from previous)

This shows the trend of members gained over time. I use the number of users counted after each purge each week.
Blacklist Counts by Type:
This gives a breakdown of the major categories we list an account under in our Blacklist.
In summary:
With the new bot opening and a busy several days under our belt, we will be evaluating the VP usage, and consider a change to the cool-down on the bot to help with that. Look for more updates from @minnowsupport on that.
Also, as there is now a great deal more traffic on the upvote bot, but the team here is less involved in helping to make it work, we will be spending time on reviewing content for quality. Now more than ever we need to ensure that every vote the bot makes is worthy.
There will be a lot more mutes in the coming weeks as we work to get a solid hold on the quality issues that have plagued the bot recently.
A quick review of things that get you blacklisted:
- A single image or even multiple images, with very little text or only a basic bit of information with it.
- An embedded YouTube or DTube video with zero additions to the post that provide value.
- Attempting to gain multiple upvotes outside our 1 per 12 hour cool-down by any means.
- Any major violation of our community guidelines and rules. (This usually has to do with treatment of other users on the platform.)
Not all of these result in a ban from Discord since we want you to learn and improve.

You had the misfortune to violate a clearly stated rule in a DM to a Senior Moderator. I am actually a member of the server for the hispanic community and planning to do charity work myself.
Had you not been rude in the DM, I would not have had to remove you from PAL.

For the information of everyone:
This user, despite our rules about DM's being sent without first asking permission in open channels, sent me a message with a post link about some charity work in Venezuela. Asking for support, even in the form of an upvote.
This violates our rules at PAL. When I attempted to explain this, and that even if it was 'for a good cause' it requires a request to DM a user first, I was met with derogatory comments.
As a result of this, he was banned from PAL server.
We at PAL, and myself specifically, love to help out communities and provide what we can for them. We only ask that you follow our rules and request that aid in the proper channels and by the proper methods.
It is amusing really how you are manipulating the public, not showing how you replied to me even before you checked out my post and what it was about...
After all this, you go there and upvote it :) Sweet irony, don't think I really mind this tricks you are pulling here I'm used to it.

And yes, I upvoted it. Even if you yourself have been less than amazing in how you interact with me, it doesn't change that the cause is good.
I won't penalize Venezuelans just because you broke the rules.
