FORGIVE EVEN WHEN IT HURTS THE MOST.

From time immemorial, revenge has been part and parcel of human history. The historical books and the bible holds much of the stories about people trying to avenge an ill that was committed against them in the past. Stories about how people say and believe that they have forgiven those who hurt them only to retaliate when they have the means.

In different families, some fathers live promiscuous lives at the middle of the marriage. When they repent and tell their wives, the women most times say they’ve forgiven but they retaliate as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Most times, it takes a different dimension than what the fathers do, it’s either the women try to sway the children to her own side through projecting the father as a promiscuous man or project him as someone that wasted his wealth on women when he had it.

The case of the cowboys has been well pronounced in a country. A story that projects the life of a cow to be worth more than the human life. When the cow is killed in certain places, it’s almost an assurance of an early morning bloodbath in the future. One of the most painful aspects of the bloodbath is that it takes human lives ten times or more in relation to the cows.

Now the social media is awash with news of sex toys that are worth more than 800k. They are believed to be able to give maximum pleasure without nagging. Now the ladies are out complaining about how it’s going to scatter families. However, all the guys can see is that it is a just revenge for what the ladies have been using over the years. Some people even go as far as saying that it has an added advantage that it can even charge your phones. People no longer see morality as a thing, it’s a "tit for tat".

In some communities, they have seen and experienced revenge at one point or another. Either burning a thief or beating him to coma as a just revenge for his actions or sending a pregnant girl away because she allowed herself to be impregnated forgetting that it takes male and female fusion to produce an offspring. The funny aspect is that most people see it as justice for the offence committed. Even in our day to day activities, when people hurt us we believe to have forgiven only to seek for better payback. Our humanity seems to have succeeded in suppressing our divinity.
