Eulogy for Tim the Not-So-Immortal Minnow

Hello, friends. I regret to inform our good pal, Tim, the minnow 🐟, has passed on. 😭

The wife and I like to joke that he was the immortal minnow because he had lasted many upon many of feeder fish cycles with our two red-eared sliders. I guess he would have the last laugh. He wasn't immortal afterall. Now he'll live on in our memories.

It seemed the red-ears had favored ol' Timmy as if he were there favorite. Perhaps, he died of natural causes and specified a clause in his fish will to be eaten so as to escape the indignity of decomposition. Only Tim will tell. Unfortunately, his fish lips are sealed... for eternity. ::sobs:: It's ok, guys. I got this. This really hits home because I can identify with the poor minnow being one myself. He made a ripple in the pond of my heart. 😔

We are moving on to a new era of the 55 gallon tank. I will be transferring the red ears and using the old 20 gallon to keep fish in, perhaps even some minnows.

We have a new batch of guppies and suspect the red-ears have a new chosen one. Perhaps, chosen for breakfast but who knows.
