California About to go Dark... But This Californian is Going GOLD
Anyone outside of Northern California probably hasn’t heard that PG&E is about to turn off the power to about 800,000 residents in a pre planned power outage in order to pre empt an imminent fire danger.
In honor of this the profile photo I used is from a blog I wrote a year ago during another power outage, thus the bizarre lighting.
Fortunately, I’m happy to own some 24 karat Mene gold in part for just this scenario:
Besides stocking up supplies at the grocery store, I’m prepared if I am caught up in this massive power outage with my Mene.
They say this power outtage may last a whole week! I feel as well prepared as I can be that even without electricity, I have a store of value that can be traded for other necessities if it came down to it.
To be clear, I don’t expect chaos, but it sure feels good to have some gold in this sort of situation.
I know people love to say you can’t eat gold, but you can buy stuff to eat with it if you have to.
