RE: 404 - Not Found? I don't know what I should do, caught in a battle of quality vs quantity (no matter how good your content is, if one network of haters decides you should not earn then you wont).

I guess there is no recipe...small guidlines sure. But as @avilsd stated...the negativity here is touchable i feel like i could cut through it. I guess its all in a point of view...i'm pretty sure many would say my posts are meaningless. But thats just another point of view (and I dont want that kind of follower anyway). There will be always people who will be better then you or have a better strategy...the main point is you either ignore em or look up to them. Swiming against the tide only gets you tired and eventually you drown. :)

If you are looking for actual directions, this is my point of view (stating again - MY point of view):

  • interaction interaction interaction....comment more on other peoples content (before you say you comment a lot on other peoples blogs, first compare stats...)
  • if possible join the chat here and there...helps building interaction
  • shorter blog titles (yes it matters) ...u only have a few seconds to get peoples attention while they browse through masses of spam...yes it matters that the title is intriguing and short and that the picture is inviting too
  • be more smart and less emotional...meaning next time you see a post that is simmilar to yours but gets more $...comment on it....say: hey i just noticed the same thing and wrote about this, this is my view bla bla (no links ofc, people hate that)....this way u might catch another follower there

If you think that all these points are b.s. and well not beeing true to yourself...you then have to ask yourself who is this "yourself". Beside the titel point all the rest are basic human interaction.

Or if you feel like you are traped you can always start anew. Transfer everything on the new acc and if some things dont come naturally to you - make a plan.

Anyway if you ever wanna talk bout it you can find me in chat.

Sort:

It feels sort of awkward to me. I am not as comfortable chatting with total strangers, some less so than others, as with other social sites where I have actual family and friends I know flesh-and-blood. Here, there is only one I know from elsewhere.
Most anything I come up with when commenting, when in non-confrontational situations, seems so.... fake, like trying to hard is obvious.
Yet I get what you are saying, and am glad you are a real person giving sound advice (with an open mind and understanding, from what I can tell). I'll try to be more patient, there have got to be more out there like you.

...also watch out for your tags. Yes. Its a small thing but helps when people browse..

Yeah....i get it. But here is the thing...either you will force yourself and interact or you will drown. It is very simple...people want to be seen. Like you want to be seen. If you see them/post on their page, make an effort...they will too (not all ofc). :) This is afterall a social platform. And belive me, there is always something nice to find and say. Life aint just bones you want to gnaw on it isnt just a constant struggle. Confrontational things are not the only ones that raises emotions. Sometimes it is simply nice to swim with the current and have a cup of coffee along. Nothing fake about it. Just accept it as real and it wont feel fake no more. :)

Good luck. :)
