Compared to the rest of the world, our tides vary very little. This King Tide really wasn't that high, but the fact that we've built our coastlines to handle mellow tide activity is what makes it look drastic. Thanks for the vid! Seen Maalaea like that with big waves too.

I hear you nothing that crazy - big waves are as much as an impact as this tide.
